Pene-Turf has undergone extensive researching and testing at several major universities and independent research organizations over the past 20 years. 

Reseach results have clearly demonstrated Pene-Turf to be effective in improving water infiltration into and movement through soils, as well as reducing shear strength.  Pene-Turf is also very effective in reducing soil plasticity and increasing water absorbtivity of soils.

Infiltration

Pene-Turf improves the water infiltration rate.  Less run-off means better water storage in the soil profile and decreased surface erosion.

Percolation

Soil compaction severely retards soil water movement.  The proper soil application of Pene-Turf significantly increases water movement in soils, including tight clay soils.

Shear Strength

Compacted soils have a higher density and greater shear strength; resulting in poor aeration, drainage and plant root penetration.  The application of Pene-Turf reduces soil shear strength. This results in improved aeration, drainage, and deeper, more uniform root growth.
