Agri-SC has undergone extensive research and testing for over the past 30 years at several major universities and independent research organizations such as the USDA, ACRES, Arise, Iowa State University, Kansas State University, University of Kentucky and the University of Wolverhampton.  Research results have clearly demonstrated Agri-SC to be effective in improving water infiltration into and movement through soils, reducing water and erosion run-off, and in reducing soil shear strength, as well as reducing soil plasticity and increasing water absorptivity of soils.

Below are the results of some of the studies performed.

Improved Hydraulic Conductivity

Results of trials were supportive of positive effects of Agri-SC in improving hydraulic conductivity, which aids in more rapid and efficient drainage. The end result is improved root growth and increased water intake.

Reduced Soil Shear Strength

Research trials have proven that application of Agri-SC has a profound effect on the force required to penetrate soil.  Reduced soil shear strength improves plant root growth in addition to improving soil tilth and structure.

Improved Water Infiltration

Scientific research clearly demonstrates that soils treated with Agri-SC have an improved water infiltration capacity, which promotes less water run-off and erosion, leading to increased water availability to plant life.

Less Water Run-Off & Erosion

Erosion control studies demonstrate Agri-SC's ability to reduce erosion by improving the soil's ability to increase water intake, an essential part of water and soil conservation.  The studies were conducted on a 14 degree slope facing prevailing winds with 19.2 inches of rainfall over a 12 month period.
